"It was a beautiful Saturday morning for my first jump, my instructors Miles and Mark were very patient as they went over what they expected me to accoplish this morning. After we boarded the plane it seemed like no time at all and we were at 13,000 feet. Once in the door way everything worked just like it had been rehersed, after I left the plane I started to notice how beautiful and peaceful it was even though we were falling to earth at 120 mies per/hr. It seemed like no time at all I was coming up on 5,500 feet time to wave and pull. No for some fun some turns, some stops, a spin, now where is that airfeild, o there it is well they are talking me in now turning me into the wind to land. I seem to have gotten a little carried away on that last turn and I'll have to land in the field, O well thats something I'll have to work on next time, and this was a blast so there will be a next time!" Mitch Paul
"I had a great first jump experience. I jumped tandem with Byron on Saturday June 20th. I couldn't have asked for a nicer day, warm with a few high clouds and no wind. The staff was very professional and fun, they obviously enjoy their work. The whole experience was great and jumping out of the plane for the first time was awesome!! I'll be back soon." Darren Groteboer
"I just wanted to drop you a note of appreciation for your fun loving professionalism. My wife and one of my sons went up with you yesterday and had an absolutely amazing experience. We all watched the video of my wife’s jump several times. She has been battling cancer for the last 7 years and this is the most happy and alive I have seen her in a long time. Thanks again for the wonderful experience! Now I want to go up!" Scott Larson (husband of Virginia Larson and father of Miles Larson)
"Well let's see here. It was a perfect day, just had a 3 hour wind hold. So our group of 6 (Crazy Kulzer Party) had plenty of time to sit around and get all hyped up when it came our turn. For the big 'catch-up' our team had to be divided. I wasn't nervous at all. In fact, people were thinking it was a little weird how monotone I was about the whole idea of jumping from 13,000 feet. So 3 of the Crazy Kulzers went first. I started getting nervous a little. I watched them land, then it was my turn. I'm not scared of planes. I'm not scared of turbulance. If I can give anyone who wants to give this skydiving a try all I gotta say is 120 mph straight down makes it kind of hard to breathe. That was the only thing that I didn't expect. This in turn, made me nervous in the air and by the time the chute was pulled I turned into a big baby. I do gotta give Byron a lot of credit for putting up with all my whining all in the air! Poor kid! I guess all that adrenaline kept inside makes you nauseated as hell at just the wrong moment. Byron, when I go again I want to fall with you. I will be going again too." Rio Jacks-Hanson May 30th, 2009
"Skydive Twin Cities! I decided to take my first jump on Friday May 29, 2009. When i booked this appointment i did not going to tell anybody that I was jumping (I didn't want them to try and talk me out of it, I think it was my best choice). I got to the dz about an hour early I was hoping to see others go first, well I was able to get on the first round instead of waiting. No complaints here! After the training, my name was called to get harnessed up. Then my nerves were going. I met my Tandem Master Joel D. (great guy). I really liked the fact that he and the rest of the staff would joke around and have a good time to get your mind off of what you were about to do. There was 4 of us doing tandem, and 4 solo's (or ones in training). When I got to the plane my only request to not be the first tandom so I was second. The ride up I was wondering what am I doing? I then got to the edge of the doorway, sat down. Ready... Set... and off we went. By far the BEST EXPERIENCE I have ever had in my life. I am glad I did the video package, now I will always have memories of this event. I already prepaid for a second jump. Good thing I did this, i have more friends than I thought want to do this. Thanks for the wonderful experience." Aaron B. Savage, MN![]()
"I really had no idea what to expect. I like to think I am an adventurous person and my fear of heights was holding me back in life, so I thought this would be a great way to overcome my phobia. Kerry and Byron were extremely patient, thoughtful, professional, funny, compassionate and confident. Thank goodness for that! Any less and I might have chickened out ... And hooray that I didn't because I was rewarded with the best thing I have ever done. It took my breath away and I was almost crying with joy. Wow. How lucky I was to be able to make my first jump with such confidence in the gear and support crew. Just before the jump the plane was rising through some gorgeous cumulus outside my window which made me gasp – then shortly thereafter I was falling though those. Wow. Words can't express my thanks. Oh and all the people hanging around the dz were so friendly and happy - what a great place to be." Lynda Zurn, Minneapolis, MN, first tandem jump May 2, 2009![]()

"I am pretty sure that skydiving is going to be my new favorite hobby. My first jump was on April 25, 2009 with the University of Minnesota's skydiving club. I had an absolutely amazing time. Amazing doesn't even begin to describe it actually. It was unreal. When we were on the way up in the plane, my instructor asked if I had ever gone through a cloud before and I told him that I had never even been on an airplane (which is the honest truth). So the first time I was on a plane, I jumped out of it. Which all my friends called me crazy for, but it was an awesome experience. I don't think it really ever sunk in that I was going skydiving until my legs were dangling over the side of the plane. And even then, it was not a scary feeling at all. I was actually really excited to not be holding on to anything at all and just be able to free fall. Since I was the first one in our group to jump out, I didn't get have the chance to get cold feet about jumping considering I didn't have to see the faces of anyone from my group as they jumped. I was surprised at myself though that I didn't scream. I was too caught up in making sure I had the right form for the jump and I was watching the clouds float past me. Honestly, it is hard to put the experience into words. I ACTUALLY WENT THROUGH A CLOUD! And the view of the city from that high up was breathtaking. As soon as we landed, I wanted to go again right away. I am for sure coming to jump again in the near future and I will be bringing my entire family along with me so they can have this experience too. Thank you guys so much for a wonderful time!" Muna Hassan
"My jump was absolutely amazing ... worth every penny ... thanks to Byron and Bergie I have a great memory to share. They were both so patient and friendly even though I wasn't one of the younger ones made it an even more pleasant experience for me ... hope to do it again!! (Maybe some day solo??!) Thanks!" Nancy Mackedanz
"Wow - what an unbelievable experience! On August 30th, we did a 3-generation first-time jump! My daughter (35), myself (54) and my father (78). We had behind us (literally) John Bushcal, Byron Stuart and Jimmy. What an awesome day. The weather was perfect, the instructors fabulous and the jump out of this world enjoyable. My son-in-law also joined us at the last minute, so more family aboard. Bergie did a fantastic job of videoing the most breathtaking experience of my life. After the jump we enjoyed a picnic with the rest of our grounded family in your Pavilion and talked and laughed about the experience. We all say we will do it again. And again, and again! Thanks so much to all of you for making it a great day. All of the staff were so friendly we will be back to see you next year." Lorry Regenauer![]()

"Hey! I was there on September 19th and jumped with a bunch of my friends. This was actually my second jump, but for everyone else in my group it was their first jump! We had an amazing time, and several of us are ready to do the accelerated free fall class in the spring. I also want to do the rest of the classes. It'd be awesome to jump alone! My friend Katie and I were in the front of the plane and we jumped with Byron and Joe. They are hilarious and that made the trip that much more enjoyable! We look forward to many more trips out to Baldwin, WI, and many more jumps! Thanks for such a good time!"![]()

"My first experience was on the 16th of September, 2008. I have to tell you, it was the best time I have ever had!!! There is nothing on this planet that is better then jumping out of a plane at 13,000 feet and dropping at 120 mph. For those of you that are thinking twice about doing this, DON'T!! The atmosphere there is GREAT! Everybody that works there has a great attitude, and a great sense of humor and it really helps out when you are getting ready to plummet to the earth. The instructors are all very well experienced and know what they are doing. I plan on going again next month with some more first timers. Thanks Skydive Twin Cities!" Josh Arel
"Thank you for a great experience and unforgettable memories. My son 25 and daughter 20 jumped for their first time on September 12, 2008. My sister and I went to watch..... and then wished that we had done it with them. Thank you Skydive Twin Cities, Joe you are awesome and Jessy loved the whole experience. She has been speechless ever since and all smiles. She now wants to jump by herself. Your an awesome instructor and inspirational. The video is priceless and I would recommend the edited version to all that jump. To be able to recap the whole experience to re-live it, over and over, is well worth the money. Byron, was Tyler's instructor, thank you for the awesome memories, Tyler has watch the video over and over again, as he cant remember the whole overwhelming experience. Thank you now he too wants to jump solo. We all look forward to flying with you next year."Jeannie

"I just wanted to thank you, as everyone else has done before me, for giving me the most amazing experience of my life. I had an awesome instructor (Eric) who was really cool even though he wasn't feeling well. I plan on coming back to start the process of getting my skydiving license. You have made a diver-for-life out of me!" Callie Sacarelos
"I went with Kerry on August 1st, great experience, can't wait to do it again!!" Steve Hill
"Hi, Skydive Twin Cities! Last year on my 23rd birthday, I made a promise to myself that on every birthday from that year forth I would try something I had never done before. Skydiving was definitely on the list, but I had planned to wait for a milestone birthday like "30" or "40" to do something that big. However, as I tried to decide what I wanted to experience this year, I thought ... "why wait?!" I mean, a lot could happen in the next 6 years and what if I never got the chance? So ... on Saturday, August 2nd 2008, I brought 14 virgin skydivers (including myself) to celebrate my 24th birthday. I made the plans for this day back in May and I must say that by the time the actual day arrived, I had so much fear and anticipation built up, I could barely eat or sleep. Nevertheless, as soon as I got to your site and saw everyone landing safely on the ground, my fear turned to full-on excitement. It was a beautiful day and I was about to experience something totally foreign with 14 of the people I love most. :o) I waited patiently for my turn and when Byron, my fabulous tandem master, walked in and asked who his "next victim" was, I knew this was undoubtedly going to be a fun experience. I couldn't have asked for a better pair of guys (Byron and Karl) to jump with and had absolutely, the most breathtaking experience of my life. There are truly no words to describe the feeling I got as the intense, cold pressure of air hit my face, but I could do it all day long. It was by far, my best birthday ever. What on Earth will I do next year that could possible top this?! Maybe I'll have to come back. ;o) Thanks again to Byron and Karl for the laughter and comfort. And thank you, Skydive Twin Cities for giving 14 people the time of their lives. :o)" Click the thumbnails to enlarge Christine's pictures.

"I can honestly say this was one of the coolest adventure things I have ever done in my life!! From start to finish ... there were so many different mental & physical experiences it was amazing & exhilarating!! It was another one of life's natural highs and something I was able to check-off my "to do before I die" list and share with family & friends. Nick was an awesome tandem instructor ... funny yet safe & reassuring. Even doing a 360 (or 2) and a drop for fun wasn't bad b/c he asked me first so I was ready for it and we landed safe & sound. My husband watched from the side and even said he "might" considering doing this too. My god-daughter has always wanted to skydive so I know what I'm getting her for her 18th b-day present. And ... I also received several nice & funny compliments reference the "Gumby" suit. Thank you all so much for making this such a great day!! I attached a few pictures." "I just had to write in and let you know how incredible my first jump was on 7/19/08! It was the most fun I have ever had being terrified!! Thanks so much to John P. for making my experience such a fun and memorable event, despite some really bad jokes ... ha ha ha, as well as all the other instructors on the plane who did a great job of keeping us all at ease. I can't wait to jump again-I will definitely be back!! Thanks so much." (come on) Eileen
"My first jump was yesterday (6/27/08) and it was incredible. My favorite part was just lingering in an amazing white cloud. My sister was terrified, but ended up loving the experience. Thanks to John B. for helping her overcome her fears and to John P. for showing me the ropes. I think I may have found my new addiction. Expect to see me again!"Click the thumbnails to enlarge Tami's picture.

"OH my god!! Thank you guys so much!! Words cannot explain how i feel about this!! I had the most amazing time ever, it was by far the best thing i have ever done in my whole life! My friends and I had a blast and we've already planned our next jump for August and we were bringing lots of people! Thanks to my sexy tandem instructor John Polk for being patient with me and making it such a great experience..and Joe, although you teased me haha you made it a really fun time too! Again, thank you so much for the time of my life and I'll see you all again soon!" Jessica Backus (first jump 6-25-2008)
"AWESOME!!! I actually have no words for what I experienced - well maybe a few! I have been excited for months to do this and the day was finally here! My instructor, Joe, totally rocked! He kept me laughing from start to finish starting with his "motivational speech" in the beginning, to telling me the parachute "should" open to giving me one of the best experiences of my life so far!! I had absolutely NO concerns about jumping attached to Joe because even though we joked a lot before we jumped, he was nothing but professional during the jump. I would recommend this company to anyone and if you are looking for a GREAT place to jump and find this place on the internet - GO WITH THEM!!! They are so much fun!! My friends and I are going to make this an annual experience and hope to entice others to join our crazy adventure! Oh, and get the video - it is totally worth it and the still photos turned out amazing! I am including a couple just for kicks - so much fun! Thanks Joe - you were amazing!!!" "Just wanted to send a quick thank you to Erik for making my first skydiving experience so wonderful on Sat. June 28, 2008. I was quite nervous before hand, but once I started to talk to Erik I was able to relax and really enjoy the experience! I have been smiling almost constantly since then! Thank you again, and I will be back!" Chris Lambeth
"Thank you for the time of my life! I've always wanted to skydive, but like most people, the fear made me put it on the shelf - at least until today. Today my two teenage sons drove with me from Central Minnesota to watch me do my very first tandem skydive. Needless to say, like most people, I was scared outta my mind and wondered what in the world I had gotten myself into this time! But as soon as I stepped through the door, your staff made me feel at home - even the three lovely pooches were friendly! My tandem instructor was none other than Joe Johnson - wow! What a great guy - funny from the get go and he has a way of making you feel like it will all be juuuust fine - which it was! The jump was exhilarating and the landing was so smooth - at least for me - not sure what Joe thought of my dead weight on the land - but he smiled so it must not have been too much of a killer! Thanks Bergie for the great video! We're so excited about today that my oldest son asked to do this on his 18th birthday ... so we'll see you all again on September 27th! Thanks again!" Julie Bergh
"i did my first tandem jump on Saturday June 14th with byron stuart. he was very patient, informative and very clear about explaining procedures. it was a beautiful day, a great experience and great people. thank you!" Jean Hansen
"I have been smiling ever since!! I still can not believe that I actually did it! John was fabulous ~ thank you so much for sharing the experience with me! I could not have asked for a better tandem partner! Carl, thank you for the photos and video ~ they both turned out AMAZING!! I will have these memories forever! Thanks again to the both of you! I will never forget this experience!" Tandy
"Thank you Skydive Twin Cities for an amazing 30th birthday experience! I have always wanted to skydive and thought that jumping (literally) into a new decade was the way to go! Two friends recommended STC and I am so glad I went. Many thanks to Scooter for being such an awesome and patient instructor and Bergie for the awesome video and pictures. At first I thought I would only jump one time but ... you may see me again free falling through the skies! Click the thumbnails to enlarge Alyssa's pictures.

"Words can not begin to explain the experience I had skydiving at Twin Cities Sky Dive! I think I had a perma-grin on my face for at least 4 hours after the jump! I have wanted to skydive my entire life but was incredibly nervous when I got there that I actually was going to jump! John made my whole experience completely stress free, incredibly fun and memorable - Not to mention his great humor and reinforcement from the plane ride up to the free fallin down ... I was so relaxed and I can say that it is the most amazing feeling to be able to fly and "float in the sky" ... John asked me if I've ever touched a cloud and to my excitement I can finally say I have and can't wait to come back and go again and again ... . Thanks also to Bergie for the amazing video and the rest of the staff there, for making my first skydive experience perfect!!! Thanks again Skydive Twin Cities - I'll be back soon with many friends ... ." Jamie Behr
"WOW! What a blast! There are not enough words to say to describe what it feels like. I wanted to do something that would be a thrill and adrenaline rush and skydiving was definitely it. Thanks again to Karl and Eric. You guys are simply the best! You rock! I give a big thumbs up to anyone who can do what they do. I wasn't as nervous as I thought I was going to be. They made it a great experience. It was actually pretty easy to jump and something that I will never forget. Thanks again guys!" LeAnn 1st jump on 9/23/07
"On 8/26/07, a group of co-workers and I dropped in ... literally! I'm writing on behalf of the group - we all had an amazing experience! While waiting to get suited up, we got acquainted with SuperDave and a few other divers. Everyone was super laid back - it was nice to joke around with people to take the edge off! :) All of us talk about our dive constantly and tell anyone who'll listen to get jumpin'! Our favorite part: the first step out of the plane. Talk about a CRAZY trip! We're already gathering more people to come back in October for another jump! We would like to say "Thank You!" to Nick and Nick, Joe J., Kerry and Eric for giving us the ride of our lives! To Karl and Bergie - thanks for the great videos and pictures! You all ROCK!! To those people reading this who haven't jumped: What are you waiting for?! GET GOING! Thanks again - see ya in October!" Sammy and the Major's Crew!
"On July 28,2007 I had one of the most amazing experiences of my life! I'm 76 and have had plenty of thrills ... ski racing being one of them ... . Skydiving with Kerry was AWESOME ! I'M STILL TALKING ABOUT IT and probably boring my friends and family ... but I want everyone I know to try and understand how much fun skydiving is! My 11 grandchildren think I'm gutsy and when I return for another jump, I hope some of them can join me. What was really nice is that I had NO FEARS ... . Kerry has such a nice calm way about him and explained everything that would happen to us in advance. Our landing was smooth as silk and Bergie took an awesome video. My YaYa pals and I can't wait to jump again and want the entire staff to know what a professional job they do and HOW MUCH FUN THEY MAKE JUMPING OUT OF AN AIRPLANE AT 13,00 FEET!" Marnie Hensel
"Hello I just wanted to write and tell you about how much fun our group had jumping for our first time with your people. When my girlfriend told me what we were going to be doing for my birthday I was a little surprised, nervous and excited all at the same time. We jumped on Friday Aug 3rd and when we left for the site I was bouncing around extremely excited, my only worry was who is going to be strapped to me as I get hurled out of a plane ... . So as we signed the very detailed forms it was off to meet the guy/girl that was going to be my new and very close friend for the next few hours. So that is when I met Carl Schneider. As soon as I met this guy I knew I was in for a fun and safe flight. He had me laughing before I knew it and I forgot about the fact I was going to 13,000 feet and going to accelerate to 120 MPH. Later I would be doing flips out of the plane, but I will get to that. So into the harness I went making sure all parts were where they should be :). I also decided to get the video package and I am so glad I did. So with that decision came another great encounter Karl Eakins my very own personal camera guy! Sweet I hope he gets my good side. So out to the plane I went with Carl and Karl. Carl S was going through a one last run through of how the jump was going to go and what he needed/wanted me to do. The whole thing was being caught on tape by Karl. So the walk through is done and my stomach was a little tense. Time to go! I hear and we all start to move to the plane. Off we go, no turning back now I am really going to do this ... wow what am I thinking ... . Oh I can't wait to jump ... . I bet Cassie chickens out ... . No she looks stronger than I do ... . Don't show her you are worried to ... . Be a man maybe flex a little and give her a wink yeah man stuff ... . So I am sitting in the plane and I learn we are at about 5,000' and the door open in the back of the plane Holy crap people just jumped. Oh yeah that is what we are here to do. Carl looks over and asks - so you ready? I say yup I can't wait! And before I can tell myself to shut up I tell him lets do some back flips out of the door. WHAT!?! You just told a guy that is crazy you want to do flips out of a plane at 13,000' do you really think Carl is too scared to do that... So naturally Carl said yeah we can do that but it doesn't look good on tape so lets do front flips. Sure I said, WHAT you agreed you really need to stop drinking my brain said. Carl looks over and said ok it is time to strap up. I move over and get hooked up and the door opens again but now my friends and leaping out of a plane. The whole time I am waiting for my jump I run through the instructions. Here it is my turn, I just watched my girlfriend jump, feet to the edge of the door I go. HOLY %$#@ the ground is a long ways down there. Carl gives me a tap on the shoulder and we start the count down. I look over and there is my personal camera man Karl getting great shots. Out the door we go tumbling and turning. OH MY ^%$##^&&$**$ this is the best thing I have ever done. ^%(&%(&^% this is amazing. Carl gives me the signal please let this shoot open ... . Boom shoot open and everything goes quiet and peaceful. I hear Carl say how did you like that? IT WAS INCREDIBLE!!!! I think I said I am not really sure what came out of my mouth. I could have said I like to wear dresses for all I know, I don't for the record. When we were under the canopy it was so quiet and the view was like nothing I had seen before. I could see until the curve of the Earth stole my view. So we are about to land and I don't want to screw up know. So knees up ... . Hold them ... . Hold them ... . Carl brings us down to smooth and safe landing. My words are lost I just went skydiving!!!! I know this is long but I wanted to tell my story. Thank you so much for this experience Carl and Karl were great. They were funny and professional. I can't say enough about the pictures and video. For future jumpers YOU WANT THE VIDEO. Also here are a couple of pictures from our jump." Click the thumbnails to enlarge Adam's pictures.

"To all of you at Sky Dive Twin Cities, I would like to say THANK YOU for making my first jump so incredibly fun, stress free and memorable. Kerry, you said it perfectly when you told us we would never forget that day and you are right on! Every time I look in the sky and see the clouds it makes me smile knowing that I actually jumped through them. I admire what you all do every day and I am a bit envious too because I would love to jump every day too or at least more often than I can afford too. John, I would like to specifically thank you for the awesome video. I have played the video at least 15 times in the past 5 days (three to my 6 year old daughter who wants to jump now) and everyone who watches it comments on the amazing job you did, how fun it looked and at least three friends have asked for the name and number of where we were so they can go. Each time I watch it, I get chills because it brings back the feeling of jumping, but more so the desire to jump again, which I will do. Craig, I don't know that words will describe how thankful I am to you for not only making my video and pictures so incredibly cool, but for making me feel safe throughout the entire process. As you can tell from above, this was truly the most exciting and thrilling thing I have done in my life and I am so happy that you were there to make it happen. Sorry I made the comment about you talking too fast on the plane; it was probably just my nerves. You did a great job reinforcing everything I needed to do and for the most part I think I did pretty well (at least the video made it seem like it). When I come back, I hope you are there to make the jump with me again. I think I need one more tandem jump before going solo. Thanks again, hope to see you all soon. Regards, " Tracy Bailey, 1st Jump 7/25/07
"Thank you thank you thank you!!!! Words cannot describe how much fun I had on Saturday. Joe you are amazing and even though you teased me from the beginning, you definitely made the whole experience one that I will never forget! Bergie, thank you for the awesome video. I am so glad that I did it, especially for my first jump. We have watched it several times and my kids loved it. They both want to do it when they turn 18. Only 10 more years to go!! Thank you also to all the wonderful staff there. Our group had a blast and we were flying high all night long. We are already planning our next jump and will definitely be bringing more people along. Thanks again for making this an experience of a lifetime!!" Melissa Timmins
"Thanks to Joe J for my first jump on Memorial Day. And Thanks to Scooter for my second jump on July 4th. Both were amazing. Joe I have to mention that I have a few pictures from my first jump in my office, twice I have had kiddos ask me who you were. One kiddo claimed that you were her bus driver for summer school and the other claimed that you were the dangerous guy in a movie he titled "Live Free or Die Hard". This particular kiddo said "yeah he does all kinds of dangerous things like jump off buildings" :) I couldn't help but laugh and wonder if there really is a movie titled so and if you were in it. Scooter Thanks so much for the amazing free fall on my second jump I absolutely loved spinning around. Now I just wonder what it is like to do somersaults in the air :D Thanks" Rachael
"Hey Kerry, Just wanted to share with you my 2 most favorite pictures - already in frames:) Apparently this is what I look like when I think I'm going to die.
(Click to enlarge, it is worth it!)
Good to know! Bergie earned his money with this shot alone! And on the second ... I'm starting to think this is pretty fab!
(Again, click to enlarge, it is worth it!)
After reviewing the video footage, I have realized I had terrible form the whole freefall ... I did not even get close to arching my back at all. So, I shall be back very soon to do it all again. Thanks so much!! What a legend you are:)" Karen
"OHMYGOD! I've wanted to skydive since I was in my early 20's and decided this would be a great way to jump out of my 50's. Talked my son-in-law to go with me on June 24th. It was absolutely fantastic! I had so much fun and most of the pictures prove it. I was ready to go back up as soon as my feet hit the ground. My family, friends and co-workers can't believe I actually took the plunge. Thanks Carl and Bergie for making my day. I'll be back soon. Oh, yaw, I'm now a hero to my nine year old grandson and his friends. Life can't get much better than that. Thanks to everyone at Twin Cities Skydive - you are all great." Diane
"Thank you so much for the wonderful experience of skydiving! It is an experience I will never forget. It was amazing to get to do flips while free falling and go through a cloud. I will definitely be back some day to do it again. You're staff is wonderful, very funny, and easy going. I would especially like to thank my instructor, Joe, he was awesome." Holly
"Let me just say THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! This was the most exhilarating experience my husband and I've ever had! Joe Johnson and John Polk did an amazing job on instructing us and helping us to feel comfortable with our first jump experience. The feeling when you jump out of the plane and the 60 second free fall can not be explained but it's a feeling you'll never forget!! The parachute ride down was very calm and just amazing! We were able to take some great pictures for a life time of memories! Thank you also to everyone else who helped our friends enjoy their first experience as well and expect all of us plus some back to do it again next year!!!" Aretina and Bill Nolan
"Oh what a rush! Before attempting the skydive, I had heard numerous stories about what freefall feels like. Some online sights said it feels like "swimming" I was pretty skeptical about this and more inclined to believe the gut wrenching roller coaster feeling that my dad felt when he was on a freefalling airplane. I was very relieved to discover that it was really much more like the former. I'm not a fan of roller coasters but the free fall was much more to my liking! Plummeting at 120 miles per hour does feel a lot like swimming. That was by far my favorite part of the skydive. The minute went by fast but it was one of the most amazing feelings I've ever had in my life. It is the closest thing to being able to fly. I loved the feel of the cool air rushing by. The sky was a beautiful blue and the white puffy clouds were everywhere. My only regret was that I was not able to dive into one of them. Joe did an amazing job at making me feel more at ease. He really helped to make the experience more fun. Bergie took some amazing video and pictures for me that I will treasure for the rest of my life. I would highly recommend these two to anyone interested in trying Skydiving. Before the dive, I was about as scared as you can get but if I did it, you can too! Thank you Skydive Twin Cities for helping me accomplish one of my life's goals." Brian Gibbens
"June 9, 2007, I flew in from CA to jump with my father (age: 76), brother and nephew. A first jump for three of us. We all had an awesome experience and one we won't forget. I feared the freefall but knew I couldn't get to the parachute ride without it. Thank you Craig, my tandem master, for doing such a great job in calming my fears. I was in an adrenaline fog and was of little assistance. The landing was so smooth I remember being in the air and then sitting on the ground. Thank you Kerry, for taking my father on an experience he'll never forget. He and I go through each day replaying our jump. When I saw my brother on the ground, he was smiling from ear to ear. His experience exceeded his expectations. This was my nephew's third jump and Joe made sure he had a new experience. Rolling out of the plane backwards then doing a couple flips gave my nephew new thrills. Thank you Tammy and Joe. Everyone at Twin Cities Skydiving worked together so that we could have an experience we won't forget. We'll be back, and hope to see all of you again." Karen, Al, Alan, & Michael
"All I can say is "WOW!!" My friend Lynn and I jumped for the first time on May 26, '07. We were wondering if the day was going to come. We had to delay due to weather the first time, and it looked grim on that day too, with thick cloud cover rolling in. The hours of waiting (at least it felt like hours) gave us time to wonder if we were crazy, but then we got our window. We were rushed onto the plane and shot into the sky. I was the last jumper out, and got to see the receding sight of my friend Lynn with Kerry strapped to her back falling away and behind. Then we were next! Within seconds of leaving the plane I was screaming in triumph and/or fear. That freefall went by in a flash, and then nothing but soaring down to earth! It is the most amazing thing I've ever done. Thank you Craig, my tandem master, who was awesome and made me feel like it was a walk in the park! Thanks also to Mike who took an awesome video and perfect pictures I've been sharing with my friends for weeks! Lynn also wants to thank Kerry, who brought her safely down in style! Everybody there was so cool, and we will be back!" Jesse Coe
"I did my first Tandem jump (w/Carl) on May 19th along with my friends Mark (w/Kerry) & Shirley (w/Scooter). We all had a blast. Its hard to wipe the smile off your face after you realize that you did it. Carl was my Tandem partner and was wonderful. Mark, Shirley and I will all be back really soon and are bringing some friends with. Were going to do one more Tandem and then the next time it will be the Accelerated Free Fall. Thanks," Patti Gandsey
"I had my initial tandem jump on May 17th and I’M STILL IN THE SKIES! This was the best experience that I have ever encountered and as I look up at the sky now from the ground I wonder “What the hell am I doing down here, standing on my feet?” Thanks a million again to Craig (for sailing the skies with me and following me ALL THE WAY DOWN J), Bergie (for the awesome pics and video), the Gang Green Man (funny still) and to the great pilots of the Cessna (jumped out of) /DeHavilland (Yes pilot, she does come down a lot faster than she goes up! Thanks for that ride slick!). I really can’t describe the 50 billion sensations/thoughts I had going on before, during and after my jump…all I can tell you is that it’s a must! Thank you Skydive Twin Cities!" Tonia Older
"It was absolutely fantastic!! Jumpin' Joe Johnson was very professional and knows what he's doing. Although I felt nervous at first, Joe put me at ease by his professionalism and knowledge of skydiving. I just knew I was in good hands and could relax and enjoy the ride. Thanks Joe! I haven't stopped talking about my skydive or showing my DVD and pictures. Bergie, what can I say, you are awesome!! The video you shot was superb and the pictures outstanding. For anyone who goes skydiving for the first time you have to get pictures and video. You will never regret it. Especially, if you have Bergie do them. Thanks Skydive Twin Cities. I will definitely be skydiving again!" Ty A. Reed
" That was the most fun iv ever had. The class felt nice and short while i still got all the information I needed. Iv looked around at other jump sites and found your to be slightly cheaper then all the rest as well. While we did have to wait 4 hours after our class because of weather the environment was very relaxing and fun. Plus you guys did a very good job at keeping us informed on what was going on. Cant wait to continue my AFF classes with you next week. Thanx again."
"Thank-you thank-you thank-you so much for giving me the opportunity for make my first skydive with you all. My experience was so wonderful, I still find myself practicing my exits at home! I made so many friends there that I can guarantee I will schedule my next skydive today. Thank-you for getting my addicted! Sincerely," Timothy Bettis
"I just wanted to write and tell you guys how awesome my first jump was! It was absolutely amazing!! I haven't stopped talking about it or showing off my pictures and DVD to everyone. You all are very professional and put the 1st time jumpers at ease. I felt very comfortable and safe. The DVD and pictures turned out wonderfully! Very nice work! My sister and I had a blast ... we are coming back again, for sure! Thanks again, " Meggy Anderson
"Thank you sooo much sky dive twin cities!!! Me and my friends first jump brought joy to our hearts in more ways than you can imagine. We can see how it can become so addicting and we will be sure to come back again soon for another round of super-fantastic-exhilarating-mind boggling FUN! One day I hope to have a job that is this much fun. You guys always have smiles on your faces and it spreads like wildfire! Thanks again, keep up the good work." Amanda, Holly, Amber, Tiffany, and Sam :D
"I don't even know where to start. This was the coolest thing I've ever done. I had so much fun I can barely wipe the smile off my face days later. The only scary part is that once the door opened, I wasn't scared at all. Joe making me laugh and making fun of me the entire time may have been the reason. He is so awesome, made me feel completely safe and at ease the entire time. He'll forever be my hero for making such an amazing experience that much better. Bergie - the video is awesome. I love it and can't stop watching it and showing it to my friends. I'm literally telling random people about the experience and encouraging them to do it, too! Everyone there was so great, it was so comfortable I almost forgot I was about to jump out of a plane! Joe and Bergie - you're the best!" Melanie
"My first AFF jump was on September 13th and it definitely was not a bad luck day. One second out of the plane and I knew I would be jumping again. Totally an unbelievable experience that I have shared over and over with the skeptics (let them miss out, more for me). Thank you Scooter for excellent class room training, without you it wouldn't have happened ... see you at the drop zone!!" Don Booth
"If I’d have been asked yesterday if I were an impulsive person, I would have said no. In fact, when I woke up this morning I had no idea that I was going to jump out of a plane today. But, a last minute change in plans, and tonight I can say, “I’ve jumped out of a plane!” Thanks to Scooter and Bergie who accompanied my sister Connie, and especially thanks to John. Your friendliness, confidence and guidance just made that so easy and fun! I love the way you said, “I’ll take us out of the plane.” That was perfect. I was just along for the ride, and it was amazing. To anyone who has ever thought that they’ve always wanted to do this, I say, DO IT! DO IT NOW! Of all the things that we’ll miss out on in life, don’t let this be one of those things. It’s way too cool to pass up. Words can’t describe it. But, I can tell you that I have been more frightened on the ride up the first hill of a roller coaster, and I was definitely more afraid standing on the first level of the Eiffel Tower. In fact, I never went to any of the higher platforms. And there is no better way I can think of to see the fall colors. It’s not like falling. It is like flying." Wendy
"Done a lot in the last 61 years, but nothing is close to the RUSH I had last Sunday, the 24th. My son and daughter, Todd and Allie, and my son's friend Jess all had our first tandem jump. Thanks John (my Siamese twin) and all the others at Skydive STC for making it a great experience. Look for me next spring!" Gary Grace
"WOW to the Nth degree!!! First of all, words can't possibly explain how incredible this experience was. I LOVE thrill rides and this easily blew all thrill rides away!! On Sept. 21st, 2006, 33 people from work went and 33 people jumped and 33 people had the time of their lives! To everyone reading this and contemplating a jump, all I can say is ... . PLEASE don't let fear rob you from living!! Step out of your comfort zone and take a step off of that plane! It's incredibly safe and you'll be under the care of the best professionals around and what's so great is they all make it FUN! Go with friends and get the video too if you can! You can't believe how many people want to go after they've seen the video and I get to relive it at the same time. It was the most awesome experience of my life and I'll be back no doubt! Don't deny yourself this wonderful adventure. Just take that LEAP of faith!! :) Thanks again Kerry and Bergie and the entire staff at Skydive Twin Cities!!" Debbie from Periscope (still freefalling and loving it!!!)
"Thank you Skydive Twin Cities & Especially John!!!" It's wonderful to capture a dream I've been chasing. The experience and "atmosphere" at the site is unforgettable. "I can see why people do jump out of perfectly good planes". The view is amazing and it truly takes your breath away. I'd do it again in an instant, to feel heavens breath whisper across my face, is like waiting for your unborn childs first breath at birth ... . Thank you, thank you John for making it so comfortable, relaxing, and unforgettable! Now instead of a definite "NO" from my husband, I got a "Maybe". Thank you once again John, Ginger, Bergie and last but not least Rabbit! I'll see you in the future ... ." Inhale deeply ... . Exhale completely" Kathaleen Winters - St.Paul,MN
"It's been two days and the adrenaline is still rushing through my body! What an awesome experience to jump out of an airplane ... . now I can check it off my list of things to do before I leave this earth ... however, I'll need to add to the list ... solo skydive! My tandem master was Joe and might I say what a great guy ... he made my experience even better ... . I felt totally safe ... although not sure if it was Joe or my Superman thong ... maybe a combination of both? Either way I felt safe and confident! and Joe's sick jokes actually settled my nerves :) Thanks Joe! and thank you Skydive Twin Cities for the great experience!! I'll be back! " Mary Jucht
"THANK YOU SKYDIVE TWIN CITIES AND SPECIFICALLY BRIAN!!!!! I had my first tandem jump on July 8, 2006. It was the coolest, most amazing experience I have ever done in my life, definitely never thought I'd be jumping from an airplane!!! We jumped with a huge group for a good friends Mom's 50th Birthday!! I kept asking myself what I was thinking, I am soo afraid of heights in the first place, I couldn't believe what I was doing (nor could anyone else)! The one thing I "clearly" remember (because I didn't get any response) is while preparing in the airplane, I asked Brian 2 or 3 times, "Are you sure this parachute is coming out?" and he wouldn't answer me ... haha!! I knew he had it under control, but I can only tell you I was starting to get nervous :) After jumping out of that plane, it took me 15 secs. to realize what I was doing and actually enjoy part of the freefall! After the parachute came out, the ride down was AWESOME. We got to see a circular rainbow in the clouds with our shadow in the middle of it. Very cool!! I have shown off my pictures and video to numerous people and no words can even explain the experience!! My adrenaline still thrives after watching it over and over. I cannot wait to return to do it again (with Brian that is)!! I think I have convinced my husband to go with me too!! THANKS AGAIN BRIAN AND SKYDIVE TWIN CITIES!!!!" Jennifer Veldhuizen
"I had my first tandem jump on Friday, July 7th. I jumped with 7 other friends and every single one us said we definitely go again. Crazy Joe was an awesome tandem master. He made the experience very enjoyable with his humor. I have shown the video multiple times and everyone cannot believe how cool it is. I definitely would recommend purchasing a video. The whole experience was the best thing I have ever experienced. The freefall: AMAZING and the drift to the land was very serene. Thanks Joe and Sky Dive Twin Cities very an unforgettable experience." Kim Smith
"WOW DUDES! Talk about an out-of-this-world experience ... . I've tried to describe this in so many ways but words don't do it justice. As someone not too crazy about turning 30 this was quite the way to ring it in. Even though I think I was more apprehensive than your average passenger I plan to come back this fall and do it again, now that I'm experienced (ha ha)! I can't thank your staff enough ... . I'm in awe of Bergie and his talents and as Bergie pointed out we wouldn't have gotten up there in the first place without Kerry. Last but definitely not least, I think I now realize how lucky I was to have Joe strapped to my back ... he may not remember me but I don't think I'll ever forget him. Thanks to everyone at Skydive STC for making this just a great experience! (jumped 7/7/06)" Melissa Borths
"Skydive Twin Cities,
I had my first tandem jump on June 28th, 2006. I was having adrenaline deficiency syndrome and this was just the perfect way to do get an adrenaline jumpstart!!! Scooter was a great tandem jump instructor. She explained the whole procedure and everything was very easy to follow. A nice relaxing plane ride up that builds great anticipation. More anticipation watching the other guy jump the plane first. The jump was phenomenal, very hard to describe, In a way it was very peaceful. It was a fun and funny experience. I can't wait to jump again!! Oh yea I forgot to yell geronimo when I jumped so I'm saying it now Geronimooooooooo! Thank you Scooter and Skydive Twin Cities!!!" Tony Mao
"I USE TO SAY, " I WANT TO DO IT BEFORE I DIE," NOW I SAY, "I'M GOING TO DO IT UNTIL I DIE!!" Thanks so much for the opportunity. I will come to you as long as our group goes to Skydive Twin Cities!! First jump 6/24/2006!" Tia Thomas
"ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING!! I've been wanting to go skydiving for a long time and I finally went with Skydive Twin Cities. I want to say thank you to everyone that helped make this experience great. And a big thanks to John for the awesome ride down. It was a huge adrenaline rush, I had a blast, and I will definitely be going again!!" Jesse Nantkes
"INCREDIBLE!! I felt like going again right after I landed. Thank you Kerry and everyone at Sky Dive Twin Cities. You kept everything so light and carefree I never had time to be scared. I can't wait to go again!!" Linda Lemaniak
"WHAT'S UP SKYDIVE TWIN CITIES?!! Let me start by saying "THAT WAS AWESOME!!!" It was definitely not at all what I had expected. I thought I would be more nervous than I have ever been in my whole life, but let me tell ya what, being strapped to a man like Joe and having Bergie along for the ride, how could anyone be nervous! Those two are ROCK STARS! I was smiling from the moment Joe strapped that harness on me till the time I went to bed that night (which was quite a few hours later I might add). What a thrill that was! The only scary thing for me, was that I felt right at home in that element and that could lead to some serious spending of cash on future leaps "out of a perfectly good airplane"! It's sort of funny, but I think that I gained new insight into my life while I was up in the clouds with Joe. For the last year now I think you could say that I have begun the journey of life finally. All the years previous to that I was just sort of going through the motions, and that all changed last May when I went to Africa and I realized that childhood dreams can come true. Ever since then, I have sort of had this attitude that all things are possible and now I want to run down my "to do list" for life and start checking those boxes off! The only down fall as I said above it that I am afraid that I might have an addiction, and I can see myself making the two-hour drive up to see you all quite frequently in the future! I know I have mentioned Joe and Bergie several times, but I want to send out a special THANK YOU to those two for making my first jump something I will never ever forget and will tell the story of time and time again! To Bergie: Thanks for making an awesome video for me, it's sort of corny to tell you this, but I seriously got tears in my eyes the first 5 or so times that I watched it. I just couldn't believe that was me, I was up there with you and Joe! See you all again VERY soon!! Thanks for everything" Heather Anderson
"A BIG THANK YOU to everyone at Skydive Twin Cities! What an awesome experience (even with Joe giving everyone a hard time before jumping). I'll be back soon for the AFF Cert. Thanks to Scooter as well for the safe trip the entire way! I think the only thrill better than skydiving will be doing it again." Jason B.
"Everyone at Skydive Twin Cites, Exhilarating. Thanks for a wild ride. My first jump was on Friday, May 19, 2006. I went with my son Eric and two of his friends. My tandem instructor Jumping Joe was very personable and made the experience fun and rewarding. He was also nice enough to watch the video with us after the jump. We had a sunny day, but went though a small cloud that was fun. Seeing a circular rainbow above the small cloud was very unique. I have been riding motorcycle for 41 years. I have taken quite a few jumps with motorcycles in my day, and thousands of wheelies. That was the closest I every got to flying until last Friday. Skydiving is an exhilarating experience and I look forward to a second flight. My girlfriend Maryanne also went to watch and met an old friend from school, Jan. So all five of us had a great afternoon. I am very glad I had the video done and have played it over a lot to relive the experience. Bergie also got some great shots of my son and I flying together, Awesome. Thanks for great time," Steve Von Bargen
"Hello Skydive Twin Cities! As my wife said it was a awesome experience. My thanks to my tandem master "Scooter" and to all others that made the day enjoyable for our group. As for my wife saying she will be back, she will be back to tandem but myself and Joe Conway may be back for AFF course. Again thanks from our whole group, Dean and Jenny Schauf, Joe Conway, Erin Laurilla, and Anna." Dean Schauf
"Hello Skydive Twin Cities! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience this weekend! Thanks Joe for jumping with me. You were right it is addicting. We will be back!!!" Jenny Schauf
"THANK-YOU ALL AT TWIN CITIES SKY DIVE !!! I JUMPED WITH KERRY AND MY NIECE WITH SCOOTER YESTERDAY. MY NEPHEW CHAD ALSO JUMPED ! WE MET WONDERFUL PEOPLE !! THIS EXPERIENCE WAS AN EXTRAVAGANZA I WILL NEVER FORGET !! WE WILL BE BACK !!!!!!!! THANKS ALL !!!!!!!" CATHY AND KASSIE
"THANKS TO ALL AT TWIN CITIES SKY DIVE FOR AN EXTRAVAGANZA NEVER TO FORGET !!! I'LL BE "BACK" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" AUNTIE CATHY P
"All I can say is I can't think of a thing in my life that compares to the feeling of being on your own in that big beautiful sky. This is now and always will be a part of my life. The feeling only for those who experience it ... . Thanks (scooter) Tammy Hart for the great job you did as my teacher. You're great ... . I can't wait to jump again.........." Melody
"Hi, thanks for the great labor day weekend experience. I was greeted by a great staff upon my arrival, the weather was sunny, and I received a professional briefing, all of my safety questions were answered, and I felt very comfortable throughout the entire experience. Carl was a great instructor, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I'm 6'5" and I would highly recommend the super otter which was an easy aircraft to jump from, I felt right at home. The freefall was exhilarating, it didn't even feel like I was falling, (just windy) and the landing was smooth and graceful. My video and photos captured every detail of my experience, which I proudly show off. Good job to everyone at Skydive Twin Cities, I'll be back again with friends ... . Thanks," Tom - Duluth, MN
"If you haven't been inspired lately it's time to go get your head in the clouds! And the grass stains on your @$$ ... comes out in the wash! I'll be back for another Van Halen Salute (jump) ... MIGHT AS WELL!" Joe Nelson - Sept. 10th
"I had the time of my life. I wish I would have done this before now. I jumped July 19th and now I have 3 friends who have also made the tandem jump. I have now taken the classes and waiting for good weather to do my first jump. It will always have a place in my heart...........Thank-you for a WOW experience." Melody
"WOW!!!!!! This was an experience that I can't quite even put into words, you are truly a great bunch of people I couldn’t have felt more at ease for my first ever tandem jump, especially with a Jump Master such as Kerry, His calmness and sincerity totally set my mind at ease. Also I felt like the video was a gift that I will most definitely cherish for the rest of my life. After experiencing my first ever taste of skydiving I am convinced that I found a new passion in life, and plan on pursuing my A.F.F course this next and upcoming summer. My goal is to get as many of my friends to come out as I can, I think that an experience such as the one that I had is one that I want to share with everyone that is close and dear to me. Once I again I would like to thank the crew at Sky Dive Twin Cities for an experience that I will hold onto for the rest of my life. Skydive twin Cities ROCKS!!!! Sincerely," Shane Warnke Jr. - 9/17/05
"Well, I have to say that my first jump was everything I hoped it would be, although different. The biggest surprise was the lack of fear as we worked our way to the plane door and jumped out. The next huge surprise was the lack of the heart-in-your-throat falling feeling. It was more like flying. Scooter my tandem master was great. There's something about being strapped to an attractive gal that calms a guy down;-) It was such a calming feeling for me to be freefalling, and then when everything went silent the smooth ride to the ground with a little spinning in between was great. I only wish it all lasted longer. I guess there's always time for another jump, right? Thank you very much!" Jeff S
"Wow! That has got to be the coolest thing I've ever done. It was way better than I ever imagined. Last night I did a tandem with Scooter, thanks girl! I've always wanted to jump. Last year I went SCUBA diving and thought that was the coolest thing, nope sorry this beats it by far!!!! That rocked, kinda makes the rest of life seem boring. I can't wait to jump again.
ps I was amazed at all the safety checks and re-checks, I was confident the whole way. Thanks. Later" Jami Philip
"I experienced my first fall this past weekend, and I'm 100% sure I'll never forget it. Thanks for all the help and instructions! I'm extremely excited to come back soon for the AFF program! I can't wait! Until then-
Cheers!" Ann Marolt
"Wow what can I say, the last time I was at 13,000 feet it took me two and a half days, and some tired legs to get there--here's to the power of gravity. I'm still trying to figure out what happened for that 60 seconds of my life. To all the staff , a big thank you for the experience, and the Bus driver for keeping me alive. Keep the fire going, I'll be back!!! peace"
Mat Dames
"John and Joe rocked! The jump was absolutely INCREDIBLE ... definitely the most exciting thing we have ever done! Thanks for making sure we made it out of the plane :) Might have to be making another trip out there soon-thanks again for the best time EVER!"
The Jennifers in the green shirts :)
"Dear Skydive Twin Cities,
I can't even begin to tell you how much this experience has effected me. I take part in a lot of extreme sports, always looking for the next chance to push the limits. Sadly I have to say, they're all ABSOLUTELY BORING compared to my first jump. I might as well sell my snowmobile, junk my snowboards, maybe use my scuba gear once in a while, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is just another work out now. I don't think I'll ever be able to enjoy them the same. I'll be back next month to make another jump with friends and after that its the "AFF" for me. I'd like to thank Scooter my Tandem Master, she was AWESOME. In the midst of realizing I was jumping out of an airplane she was all jokes and smiles, but don't let that fool you she's very professional and knows what she's doing. I'd also like to thank Bergie, the video was amazing. I've watched it 7 times already and still get the same feeling in my stomach watching it as I did jumping. If anyone has any reservations about getting the video "DO IT" its worth every penny.
Thank you for a wonderful experience, see you soon :)"
Ernie S.
"Thank you John, my Tandem Master........Thank you Bergie, my A+ Photo Pro........I can sum up my first Tandem Jump in these few but true words............I HAVE FELT THE COMFORTING BREATH OF HEAVEN IN THE RUSH OF THE WIND! Thank you ALL at Skydive Twin Cities for a memory that will last my entire life. I will be back for the next step ( AFF )."
Greg T.
"This was the most amazing thing I have ever done in my life! It was well worth the cost, and I will definitely be coming back to do it again, along with some friends. My tandem instructor, Carl, was great. And thanks, Bergie, for the awesome video. I'm planning on showing it at my graduation party."
Kim R.
"I absolutely loved the experience. Kerry McCauley was my tandem instructor and he was a great teacher and I felt totally at ease with him. He and the whole staff were friendly and very professional. You cannot even begin to describe how exciting and exhilarating the experience is. You can have 100 people who have done a tandem skydive each tell you their experience, but you will never truly know what it is like until you do it. I have always been a thrill ride junkie, but this was the ultimate thrill ride. I recommend to anyone who has ever thought about it to go out and try it. You will not regret it and it will be a thrill that you will always remember."
Aaron Goff
"The thrill of a lifetime! I've always wanted to skydive and am so glad I took along a friend and did it! It was more thrilling than I even imagined. Seeing the curvature of the earth in the distance, sailing down, noticing my feet hanging in the air with nothing but the earth below them was amazing. A glorious ride!! My tandem master Brian was great, calming my nerves with jokes before and on the way up so I felt totally safe. The video is fabulous (thank you Bergie!!). We still watch it over and over. My 3 year old calls it "Mama Jumps out of the Airplane" and it's his favorite. If you think you might want to try this, by all means, go, you'll be glad you did."
Margi Sundell
"I had always questioned myself about jumping out of a perfectly good airplane, but that was the biggest rush I have ever had. I can't wait until I am one of those guys that come whipping down and slide 50 ft across the grass. I will for sure be back to get my AFF Cert."
Jason
"Dear Skydive Twin Cities, Absolutely amazing ... so much better than I ever thought it could be. I have to admit, I was scared at first, as I'm sure everyone is, but as soon as we jumped I forgot that I was even scared! The scenery was breath-taking, the feeling was awesome. It's been a rough year so far, and this was the perfect way to open my eyes again to what life is all about. Thank you Carl, oh master of the parachute, for a great flight down. Also, I have to thank Gary for capturing the moment on film so I can relive it whenever I need to! The video is awesome. :) You were both awesome and truly thank you! Have a safe winter, and maybe I'll see you again in the spring!"
Deanna
"Had an absolute blast, thank you so much for the experience. Will certainly be back, and will be bringing friends with me!"
Jason
"Thank you to everyone at Skydive Twin Cities, my dad and I jumped tandem for our 1st time together and it was an experience we both will never forget! All the staff members you guys have out there make a 1st time jumper feel very calm, I had a blast jumping with Joe Johnson. You guys definitely know what you are doing. It was a life changing experience for both my dad and myself and can't wait to come back and do the accelerated free-fall for my next jump, you guys had me hooked from the moment I stepped out of the plane. It's definitely an indescribable experience I think everyone should experience........it was priceless and one of the best things I have ever done in my life! Thanks again Joe you were awesome, can't wait to jump again! Thanks to Carl Schneider on getting my dad also back on the ground thanks to you for giving him the best ride of his life!"

"I am not going to spoil anything for the readers that visit here. It was my wife and I 5 year anniversary, and we both jumped for our first time ever. All I will say is that we are going to be back every year for the ret of our lives!!! We were a little nervous at first, but once you jump out the door you are at a lost for words. I recommend this to EVERYONE to do in their life, well worth it!!!!!!"
Mike and Kim
"I wanted to say thank you to the entire staff at Skydive Twin Cities for making my 1st skydive experience ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! My tandem master was Carl and he made the jump fun, thrilling and exciting! The jump was a perfect combination of fear (I have to admit, I was a bit scared to jump), excitement and utter rush. It was definitely the coolest thing that I've ever done. I could not believe how high up were when the doors opened up and it was time for us to leave the plane. 13.000 feet!!! Unreal! What a rush it was to feel the cool air on your face and fall so fast. I still can't believe I did it! Once the parachute opened up, I was able to not only see how beautiful the land was the we are over, but also to have some fun with a few spins in the air too! It was unreal! I was glad that I had the jumped video taped. I've watched it several times with my friends and family and they still cannot believe that I actually did it! Thank you Nick for the great footage (and pictures too!) and thank you Carl for a wonderful, unbelievable jump! I know that I'll definitely be jumping again. Thanks to the pictures and the video, I'm getting my cousins hooked and they now want to jump too! Hopefully I'll make it back out to WI for another jump. Thanks again for everything!"

"Absolutely the most incredible experience of my life! After too many years of wanting to jump and listening to my son rave about it a friend and I made our first tandem jump 3 weeks ago. Joe and Kerry were our jump masters and they were fantastic. They explained everything thoroughly and put us at ease and made the whole experience awesome. Next up will be the AFF course and hopefully many more jumps. Thanks again to the whole crew at Skydive Twin Cities & see you soon."

"What a wonderful experience! I will most certainly do it again, now that I know what is it all about and can concentrate more on what is going on around me. My deepest, most sincere thanks to Scooter, my Tandem Master for a great jump and bringing me safely to the ground and to John for the awesome video. I've already watched it a few times and it brings back all the feelings and emotions of the jump. Thank you for making one of my dreams come true!"

"My first (only, so far) jump was tandem. This was the most fantastic thing I have ever done in my life!! Everyone was encouraging, and very friendly and funny. I also had this event video taped since it was for my 40th birthday, and am very grateful that I did because I have watched it a couple dozen times already because I still can't believe I did it!! They did a stellar job with everything!!!!!!!! Thank you, Thank you!!!! Woo Hoo!!!"

"It was the most INCREDIBLE experience I have ever had! The ultimate 'letting go'! I and my daughter Tristan were with Elisa's group (her feedback below). Kerry, my tandem master was awesome! Joking around in the plane prior to the jump really helped ease the tension. My daughter jumped right after I did, and once our parachutes were deployed, Kerry steered over to her. That is probably the coolest memory I have of my first jump - looking over at my daughter hanging from a parachute close enough to wave at each and hear her say "Hi Mom!" Everyone was great, and we had the most wonderful time. My daughter is hooked and wants to pursue her certification. I will definitely go again as soon as I can afford it! Thank you Skydive Twin Cities for the rush of a lifetime!"

"It was my 50th birthday the day the 8 of us jumped. I got the ball rolling & more & more wanted to join in on it. I couldn't believe it. We heard about the people at Skydive Twin Cities from a friend who said you guys were the best!! She didn't steer us wrong. The sky Jump Masters made us feel so at ease. I'm sure you all have the same jokes go on every time you jump but we didn't mind - it put us all feel at ease and we even started to joke with you. It happened way too fast which makes me want to go again so I can enjoy it all again but this time with more experience so I can enjoy it just that much more. Joe was my Jump Master and he made me feel at ease, he was alot of fun and I felt confident in his ability. I'm also glad I had "Bergie" for my video - it was absolutely fabulous!! It captured everything - something I'll never forget. Thanks so much for giving of yourselves to make my special day even that much more wonderful. You guys were awesome!!!! All around, the 7 people who jumped with me and the 4 who cheered us on the ground had just a fabulously good time. Now every one I've been talking to says - "you're soooo excited about it that it makes me want to go too". Well you can be sure I'll send them your way. Thanks again for a fabulous time which was had by one and all in my birthday party."
Sincerely, Elisa P.
"I've always wanted to skydive and tried to get others as excited about it as I was. But when it came down to it, I jumped alone ... well not alone ... I had Mark and Dan ... thank you-thank you. You guys were great. I was a nervous wreck, scared to death to "pop" out of the plane, but once I did it was amazing. The freefall was scary and of course I forget some of the hand signs, but once I pulled the rip cord - all became quiet and I'm up there 5,000 feet just excited beyond belief. I have never experienced anything like it. Then the landing ... which I totally bobbled. Landed in the cross-wind from what they tell me and HIT the ground and ended up tangled in the cords. And I hear them on the radio telling me to waive my hands if I was ok - because of course I missed the drop zone by about 100 yards or so. I tried to waive my arms, but was a little "tied up" at that moment, once I freed myself, I jumped up, wiped the dirt off my face and life was good. They then asked how my experience was and if I would jump again - my answer was a definite YES. I watch the video now (thanks Mike) and just can't believe that is me. You guys are great - and I'll be back!! "

"We just want to thank Carl and Bergie for making our tandem jump and video the best experience ever! I think we have watched the tape of our jump at least 20 times. We are getting a group together and coming out in July. I plan on camping out this time and hanging out at the bonfire with you crazy guys! See you soon."

"I would just like to thank the staff at Skydive Twin Cities for making my first skydive a BLAST! I took the Accelerated Freefall course and jumped with scooter and Kerry. The freefall was SOOOOOOO cool! After I pulled the ripcord and the parachute opened the view was amazing. I can't wait to do my level 2 jump. Thanks to the guys and gals at skydive twin cities!"

"I can't remember a time when I didn't want to skydive. I'm sure there was such a time, but I have no recollection of it. It just took a really long time to decide I'd better go before I wasted my life waiting. I wanted to take the AFF course, so on my first jump ever I'd have my own parachute. I called a couple of the other drop centers, but they either wanted me to make a tandem jump first, or make a no-freefall static line jump. Several of my friends said they'd come with me, to take the class and all, and we'd jump together. Well, not together, exactly, more like one after the other. They told me to pick a day, so I did. The nice voice on the telephone, I think her name was Cheryl, told me there would be a cancellation fee if I didn't show up, to help pay for the instructors who'd be standing around unable to feed their kids because they'd turned down other work so they could skydive with me. I didn't care about the cancellation fee, though, because I wanted to jump real bad. When I told my friends to call up and make reservations and about the cancellation fee, they had other things to do that day. I don't know what was so pressing. Change the air in their tires, maybe. I wound up going by myself, but since I was the only one in class, I got the instructor's personal attention. I was pretty excited when I got up on the Wednesday morning of my class. I didn't want to be late, and I drove too fast, but I didn't see any cops, so that was okay. That was September last year, and I still drive too fast when I'm going skydiving. When I got to the dropzone I had, like, about 30 minutes before class. I was going to just wait in my car in the parking lot. I could see some people moving around outside the club house like they lived there, schlepping around in bathrobes and flip-flops. One of the instructors parked right next to me and made me check in early and drink coffee with the staff. I got to meet Cheryl. She's pretty cute. And I got to meet my instructor, Scooter. She was one of the ones schlepping around outside. Scooter explained all about how the skydive was going to work, and did a real good job. I had lots of questions, especially about what to do if things didn't work out the way it was planned. I guess a lot of new jumpers have questions like that. I kept asking questions and Scooter kept answering them, and after a while she figured I knew enough because she gave me the ground test and asked me if I was ready to skydive. I sure learned a lot in ground school. I even learned what a "whuffo" is, but you have to come to class to find out! Scooter got me dressed in a jumpsuit, a big (really big! parachute -- I liked that I'd be able to land softer with a bigger parachute), and a helmet and a radio for the canopy flight (she said it was a 1-way radio, but I could talk back if I was really loud). When I had all my gear on, I was stylin! My video guy, Ber-jee (sp?) took some pictures. I'll post them on my website if I have time. Then I met my other instructor, who was coming along with Scooter and me, like a back-up. His name was Andy, and I found out later he was a former national champion skydiver! I get lucky that way quite often. Skydiving airplanes are really crowded, sort of like cattle class on Northwest. I'd never been on an airplane that small before, but it was kind of nice. Every seat was a window seat, and the view was great. I could see all the way to Lake Pepin, and I could almost see my Mom playing golf at Frontenac. Pretty soon it was time to go. I was nervous, but Scooter and Andy told jokes most of the way up. There was another fellow on the aircraft who was exchanging recipes with someone else. I thought that was kind of strange, like he wasn't thinking about stepping out into thin air like he was going to do in a few minutes. Then it was time to go. Andy asked me if I was ready. He had to ask me twice, but I said yes. I wasn't really sure I was ready, but I didn't want to back out and disappoint Scooter. So we walked up to the door and I don't remember much except that we left and all of a sudden we were in freefall and it was great. There wasn't any sort of falling sensation, I don't know why, but there wasn't. It was like I was flying, and it was great! I did all my checks and waved at Ber-jee who was right in front of me in freefall, taking pictures and shooting video, and then it was time to pull the ripcord and everything got quiet until the voice on the radio gave me directions and I landed, and it was over too soon and I wanted to go up and do it again right away -- and so I did! I made two jumps my first day skydiving, and I would have made another one except there's about 15 minutes of training for each jump after the first one, and the sun went down too soon that day. Thanks to everyone who made my first jump possible: Scooter and Andy, of course, and Cheryl, and that hippie-looking guy who talked me down on the radio (sorry Miles, Kerrie told me to describe you that way), and all my new friends. Skydive Twin Cities rawks!!!!"
